£6,845 to expand Bata’s footprint!

In January, SBSA helped the Bata Heritage Centre to fundraise for a new exhibition space.  We’re delighted to hear that £6,845 has now been awarded!  This Veolia North Thames Trust grant will allow the Bata Heritage Centre to expand their footprint within East Tilbury library and display a greater range of Bata artefacts to the public.  With the Bata Shoe Company having housed, employed and served local residents for much of East Tilbury’s history, there is a strong local connection to this heritage.  The expansion of exhibition space will better connect local residents and a wider audience to the proud history of Bata in this area.

SBSA is delighted to have been able to support the Bata Heritage Centre and looks forward to seeing the new exhibition in place later this year!
